Meet and Greet the Artist (Art Walk)
Cadillac, Michigan – While strolling through Downtown Cadillac during the month of May, many have seen tremendous works of art of all mediums and on Saturday the public can meet these truly local artists.
The Downtown Cadillac Association’s month long Art Walk concludes on Saturday, May 28th with “Meet the Artist” from 10am-4pm featuring 40 artists in their retail host locations (look for green Art Walk flags).
In addition to the artists in their retail host locations, West Harris St. will be closed to host cultural art booths that will be providing demonstrations and works of art for sale.
The DCA will be providing maps pinpointing the exact location of each Art Walk Artist. The public can pick up these maps at Toy Town, Pell’s Radio Center and Comfort Center.

Lisa Marie Duford (May 17, 1966 – September 7th, 2008)
Lisa was employed as a Hostess-Trainer for Wendy’s in Monroe. A member of St. Joseph Church in Ida, she was active in Special Olympics as an athlete and as a coach. She loved working with the younger athletes and going to tournaments. Lisa participated in the World Games in New Haven, CT, in 1995. She enjoyed poly-hockey, softball, especially liked bowling and was very proud of earning her 20 year plaque from Wendy’s. Lisa was a very loving, generous, and giving individual. She passed away Sunday, September 7th, 2008.
We are hosting the first annual “Lisa Marie Duford Memorial Weekend” on 4/30 – 5/1/2011 at Rod Park in Dundee to benefit the Monroe County Special Olympics. This weekend’s schedule of events is as follows:
Sat. 4/30
1 – Car Show from 10am to 4pm
2 – Craft Show from 9am to 5pm
3 – Food Vendors from 9am to 9pm
4 – Silent Auction from 9am to 9pm
5 – Bingo 6pm to 9pm (hall to open at 4:30pm)
6 – 50/50 Raffle (throughout the day)
Sun. 5/1
1 – Craft show from 10am to 4pm
2 – 50/50 raffle (throughout the day)
3 – Silent Auction ends at 3pm
4 – Food Vendors until 4pm
5 – Car show to be rescheduled to 5/1 10am to 4pm if rained out on 4/30

BMN is excited to be returning to downtown Northville for our 2nd Annual Buy Michigan Now Festival! Main Street will be closed for this 3-day funfest featuring sidewalk sales, live music, children’s activities, and plenty of Michigan-based businesses and Michigan-made products.

Festival & Arts and Crafts Fair
The annual Historic Festival features live entertainment, games and contests for young and old and a crafts fair. The event also features the famed “Taste of the North” showcasing the specialties of distinctive local restaurants. The Festival is on Petoskey’s picturesque waterfront and centered around the 1892 Train Depot.
