The 175th anniversary of Michigan becoming the 26th state to join the United States of America is Thursday, January 26, 2012.

Michigan has a long and illustrious history, with fantastic boom times during the lumber era and the golden time of automotive production.

Some would say Michigan’s best days are behind us. True Michiganians say: We’ve had our challenges, but the best is yet to be!
