Michigan Poll

Michigan-Made.com, the oldest and most successful e-commerce website offering customer products exclusively made in Michigan, wants to know who residents of the Great Lakes State think they are.
Are you a Michiganian? Or a Michigander? Or a Michiganite?
Everyone is invited to vote for which label they prefer be used, in referring to the wonderful people who live in Michigan. Place your vote on the right, then scroll down to post a comment with your name and email address so we know you voted. Please note that your email address is not shared with anyone, we need it to contact you for your prize. Voting is open thru Thursday, January 26 – the 175th anniversary of Michigan’s statehood.
The results of the poll will be announced here on Friday, January 27th. Return to this page then to view the poll results and who the winners are!
 Everyone who responds to this survey will be entered into a drawing, with three lucky winners receiving Photo Coasters that feature their choice of beautiful photos of Michigan.Good luck, whoever you are!

Michigander born and bred. I’m 64, and I, like others here will be a Michigander till the day I die. Why anyone felt the need to change is beyond logic. Michiganien, ugh, put it in the trash. Michiganite, I’m not going to even comment. It’s not worthy.

I’ve been a Michigan resident for only about 6 months (used to be a Buckeye). I thought Michigander was the “official” designation. Actually, I was going for Yooper.

I’m from Michigan, but moved to Colorado in 1981. I LOVE your candles. I got my first one at the Ben Franklin store in East Tawas, while visiting my mom, who lives there. Since then, I have ordered candles from your website.

I have always heard that we were Michiganders. Seeing we have all these Canadian geese around that is a good reason too.
